Legislative Assembly of Tartupaluk
Tartupaluk is the world's only
functioning modern direct democracy. Articles 18 and 32 of the
Tartupalummit
Constitution give every citizen of the Principality
the inalienable rights to sit and to vote in the Legislative
Assembly.
The Legislative Assembly of the
Principality is one of the five principal branches of Government
described in the
Constitution. Its role is to act as a
deliberative body, producing citizen-sponsored legislation and
providing a means of political expression for the people of the
Principality.
